Sunset Blvd. Interview by NoRulezChris

This hard rocking band is from Detroit, Michigan who mainly focus on covering bands and songs from the 80’s. I spoke with Sunset Blvd. member Mike Scott who rocks the bass guitar. By NoRulezChris

1. You have an upcoming show at The Oriental Theater in Denver. What can fans expect to hear?

We are going to pack a decade of hits into a 2.5-hour show. Nothing but the hits from your favorite hair metal bands and so much more. It’s a nonstop party – if you’re not exhausted by the time we’re done, you came to the wrong show lol.

2. What do you enjoy the most about Colorado?

The people – I’ve played tons of shows, all over Colorado, and the crowds are some of the best in the country. Not only are they fun and energetic but I’ve made so many great friends across the state. It’s somewhere that I always look forward to playing and visiting.

3. What bands/artists have you been listening to lately?

Obviously, we listen to a ton of the hair bands that we play every night (Poison, Crue, Bon Jovi) but I’ve been on a John Waite and Enuff Z Nuff kick lately- totally underrated and amazing.

4. What is the most rewarding part of performing live?

When you see the crowd singing every word and becoming a part of the show, it’s incredible. If you can come to our show and escape reality for a few hours and recreate that feeling you had, back in your youth, and relive a moment in time that meant something to you, then we did our job.

5. Who are some of your favorite artists you’ve performed with live?

We’ve been lucky enough to play with some amazing artists but a few that stand out would be Sammy Hagar, Bret Michaels of Poison, and Night Ranger. In fact, Jack Blades of Night Ranger jumped on stage during our set and sang Highway To Hell with us lol.
