Swervedriver Interview by NoRulezChris

This Alternative/Indie Rock band is from Oxford in the United Kingdom. Swervedriver has been on Dangerbird Records, Cherry Red Records, Sony Music UK, and A & M Records. By NoRulezChris

1. You have an upcoming show at Bluebird Theater in Denver. What can fans expect to hear?

There will be songs from all dusty corners of the Swerve discography, played with a verve and level of volume that envelops like a friend’s arm around the shoulder, you and your friend both sat perched up on the tumble dryer during the spin cycle. It’s a rock’n’roll rodeo.

2. What do you enjoy the most about being in Colorado?

Being up in such a high state of elevation and hiking, but don’t make us dizzy, Denver!

3. What bands/artists have you been listening to lately?

Robert Wyatt, Horsegirl, King Tubby, Juanita Stein, Billy Fuller, Cloth, Memorials, Country Joe & the Fish, and Little Barrie all made it onto March’s playlist.

4. What is the most rewarding part of performing live?

It’s most rewarding when it feels like harmonic motion & holy communion melding into one – especially when they’re having to peel the pedestrians off the walls.
